NICEIC Approved Electricians

Certificate

  • NICEIC's sole purpose is to protect consumers from unsafe and unsound electrical work. They are not a trade association and do not represent the interests of electrical contractors.
  • NICEIC approved contractors are assessed every year to ensure their work meets the national safety standard BS7671 and other relevant technical standards.
  • NICEIC's assessment criteria includes: -
    • ensuring contractors tools are insulated
    • ensuring contractors test instruments have suitable test probe leads
    • ensuring the contractor is familiar with site fire precautions
    • ensuring a qualified supervisor proves circuits are dead as necessary
  • If the proposed electrical safety and self-certification requirements are introduced by the Building Regulations, the issue of a NICEIC certificate will become a legal requirement.
